| The association inauguration function
"Glitz - 2005" was organized on 2-8-05(Tuesday).
The Chief guest for the function was Mr. S. Padmanabhan,
Principal Consultant, easy design systems. The chief guest
gave awareness on 3 major aspects such as |

mind free and fresh always for doing things at the

In developing the communication skills |

He also quoted about the current trends and technologies.
He gave awareness on frame work based technologies such
as J2ee and Dot net. Prof. K. S. Palnisamy, co-ordinator
ECE department, CIET, released our Magazine "Soft Quest".
The Seminar on "Programme your mind for Success" was organized
on 11.8.2005(Thursday). The Chief guest for the function
was Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, Psychologist, Skitrac,
Coimbatore. He addressed the students
to develop positive attitude skills and knowledge with
Self Confidence. He also advised the students to avoid
psychological depression and negative thoughts.
The departments have plans to conduct two day workshop
on software testing tools and a paper presentation
for students. |

| Department of Commerce |
The department of commerce has an
association in the name CARVE (Commerce Association
for Resplendence, Versatility and Excellence) separately
to plan its activities and operations. This association
prepares the calendar of activities for each
academic year. It has a governing council,
consisting of faculty members and steering committee with the head of the department as its
committee Chairman and other office bearers. |

The Inaugural Function of the Mathematics Association "MAZE" for this academic year 2005-2006 was held on 4.8.2005 (Thursday). The Inaugural Address was given by Dr.P.Nagarajan, Principal, Coimbatore Institute of Management and Technology.
The Chief Guest for the function was Kanitha Methai Thiru.K.K. Rangasamy, Ex-Panchayat President, Kembanur. He gave a very interesting speech on "Numbers – Amazing". This programme was very informative to the students to develop their knowledge in Mathematics and to sharpen their memory. |

The Inaugural function of the Biochemistry Association "BIOFESTA" for this academic year 2005-2006 was held on 19.07.2005 (Tuesday). The Inaugural Address was given by Dr.Mani, HOD in Botany, PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. He gave a speech on "Are We Our Genomes?" This programme was very informative to the students to develop their knowledge the field of genetics and the details about gene study going on in the Research area.
