The Youth Red Cross wing of the Indian Red Cross Society has been formed in all types of colleges and Polytechniques in Tamil Nadu with a twelve-point programme given below. YRC unit strives to bringout the sense of service and help by the students to the society. They Constituted on 07.07.1999, the Youth Red Cross Unit Association of KKCAS aims at: Promotion and protection of health and life Self-less service to the sick and suffering Promotion of National and International friendship Building up of the mental and moral capacities of youth Disaster relief to victims of flash floods, cyclonic storms, earth quakes, accidents etc.,   Twelve-point programme Disaster relief Promotion of health and hygiene International friendship National integration Self-less service to the sick and suffering Blood donation Avoidance of drugs First Aid Aids awareness Communal harmony and conflict-resolution Voluntary leadership training Guidance and counseling to youth Red Cross Volunteers.
